This photo of an iconic Adansonia grandidieri (Grandidier’s Baobab) from Madagascar was taken by one of our staff members on a recent monitoring visit. While our campaign in Madagascar is focused on sustainable fishing, this picture of beautiful Madagascar was worth sharing. These trees are an endangered species in the genus Adansonia.

Blue Venture’s Rare Pride campaign will ensure the health of the world’s third largest coral reef by working with local fishers and communities to protect juvenile fish species by eliminating the use of beach seine nets and the practice of poison fishing.
