Joe was Partner and Advisory Director at Goldman, Sachs & Co., and served as the principal liaison and consultant with retailers around the world.
Joe has served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Nature Conservancy in New York State and also served on the Boards of Coach, Inc. and Waterworks, Inc. He is currently on the Board of Directors at The Wilderness Society and National Audubon Society. Joe is author of Ahead of the Curve: A Commonsense Guide to Forecasting Business and Market Cycles (Harvard Business School Press, 2005) and Birds in Wood and Paint: American Miniature Bird Carvings and Their Carvers, 1900-1970 (University Press of New England).
