Barbara is the president and co-founder of Niños y Crías, a Mexican nonprofit (and Rare partner) dedicated to promoting conservation through education, science, and sustainable economic development. Barbara lives in Mexico City and is active in Mexican environmental efforts. She is a member of the board of Fondo Nacional Para la Comunicacion y Educacion Ambiental a.c., a joint effort of SEMARNAT (the Mexican Ministry of the Environment) and the private sector.
