Duncan is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Wellington Management Company, a privately owned, global investment management firm. He served as Chairman and CEO from 1994 until retiring in 2004, ending a nearly 40 year career with Wellington Management . Duncan is actively involved with several for- and non-profit boards, including Gannett Co., Inc., NYSE/Euronext, The Asia Pacific Fund, Financial Accounting Foundation, Claneil Foundation, New Profit, Inc. and The Bromley Charitable Trust. He is a graduate of Yale University, where he earned his B.A. in Economics. He and his wife live outside of Boston.
