Hannelore’s professional background is rooted in education and publishing. She worked at New York based Stern Magazine, and MIT Press in Cambridge, and taught German at the Berlitz School as well as Brandeis University. Currently Hannelore is the Director of the Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment. She serves as a trustee of The Textile Museum in Washington, DC, and sits on the visiting committee of the Museum of Fine Art in Boston. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of Oxfam America. Born in Germany, Hannelore completed a B.A. and M.A. in German Literature at Brandeis University. Hannelore and her husband, Jeremy, live in Boston and have three grown children.
